A few people have asked me the question why should I buy right now?
Here are reasons why it is a good time to buy:
- Interest rates are really low (5.25%.) They were a little lower last month but these are still great rates
- Number of homes on the market
- Number of motivated sellers. Either paying two house payments, facing foreclosure, moved to a new house or different city
- If you are a first time home buyer-How about a 8k tax credit. Most are approved for this FREE money that you DON’T have to pay back.
- Knowing that you are helping the economy and helping someone that needs to sale their home
This are just some highlighted reasons for buying a home right now but I understand every situation is different. There are still programs out there that you will need minimal down payment to buy a home. FHA loans need 3.5% to put down. There are some housing programs that will get you a 3% down payment where you will have to only put down a 1/2%.
